In questo film di Roberto Rossellini, la Torre Pendente per due brevissimi momenti appare subito dalla soggettiva di un auto. Alla guida c'è Alfredo Zucchelli (interpretato da Vittorio Gassmann) , accanto a lui Marcella (Annette Vadim), arrivati a Pisa dopo essersi sposati senza il permesso dei genitori di lei, di circa dieci anni più giovane dell'uomo. In un film di cinque anni prima Vittorio Gassman aveva già interpretato un personaggio che passa dalla Torre di Pisa con l'automobile e una ragazza accanto a lui. In this film directed by Roberto Rossellini the Leaning Tower of Pisa appears in two very short screen shots from the inside of a car. In the driving seat is Alfredo Zucchelli (played by Vittorio Gassmann), next to him Marcella (Annette Vadim), a couple who have just arrived in Pisa after getting married without obtaining authorisation from the parents of the bride, who is10 years younger than the groom. Five years earlier in another film Vittoria Gassmann had already played a character passing by the Leaning Tower of Pisa in a car with a woman sitting next to him. This earlier film, called La ragazza del Palio, directed by Luigi Zampa, is also part of the movie analysed in the book Cinedipendente – the films with the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
